Cladco Profiles

Following the completion of a successful project to enlarge office space and refurbish the former Kerry Foods factory in Okehampton, Walton Development and Construction Ltd are proud to have been invited back to Okehampton to complete the construction of new warehousing for Cladco Profiles Ltd. Cladco are the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of composite decking and specialist cladding products.

The building boasts a full-portal steel frame meaning the impressive 26,000 square foot building has completely open access throughout. The building is cladded with Kingspan insulated, ribbed cladding. Access to the warehouse is via two purpose built electrically operated sectional doors and a further two interlocked sectional doors servicing two 10 tonne dock levellers. Utilising the latest LED lighting technology systems internally and externally, we have managed to ensure Cladco’s carbon footprint remains at an acceptable level. Externally, our lighting installation complies with local planning restrictions regarding the conservation of bats and other wildlife. Working closely with the client, we integrated specialist CCTV, Intruder and Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring compatibility with their administrative site over a mile away. The installation of Electric Vehicle charging points and a 48kwp PV system helps to reduce Cladco’s carbon footprint further. Controlled Access to the entire site is achieved using a CAME vehicle barrier system, integrated to senior staff’s mobile phones. Entry can also be granted remotely and through proximity fobs and clickers. The imposing building comprises 26,000 square feet of storage space and welfare facilities. It was completed within the operating budget and timescale required for Cladco Profiles Ltd during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
